The second week of December 2025, São Paulo (Brazil) hosted another session of ZAGA Zygomatic Live Training, an advanced program designed to teach zygomatic implant surgery and the practical use of the ZAGA Concept. This comprehensive three-day training course offered an in-depth learning opportunity on the entire zygomatic implant rehabilitation process.
The training was led by Dr. André Sakima and Dr. Peter Ilg, both renowned specialists in zygomatic implantology and mentors at the ZAGA Center São Paulo.
An Intensive Zygomatic Implant ZAGA Training Program
The ZAGA Zygomatic Live Training in São Paulo was organized as an intensive three-day course, facilitating comprehensive participation in every aspect of the zygomatic treatment. This course enabled comprehensive insights into delivering high-quality care, personalized treatment plans, surgical implementation, and postoperative analysis in complex cases of edentulism.
The curriculum combined theoretical classes with practical, hands-on clinical discussions using 3D dental models prior to surgery. Ensuring that surgical guidelines remained consistently linked to biological concepts and each patient’s unique anatomy.
Live Zygomatic Implant Surgeries with Real Patients
This 7th edition program includes the opportunity to perform actual zygomatic implant surgeries in a clinical hospital setting. Four patients were treated, and ten zygomatic implants were placed under immediate loading.
This encompasses factors such as prosthesis placement, surgical access techniques, complication mitigation, and protection of patient well-being. During the surgeries, Dr. Sakima and Dr. Ilg shared their clinical knowledge and technical expertise.
Within the training structure, every patient who undergoes treatment will receive immediate loading rehabilitation and will be monitored to ensure optimal results.
Advancing Expertise in Zygomatic Implantology
“It was a phenomenal experience from conception to completion. It was incredible, challenging, and well worth the trip, and being able to train alongside these incredible mentors. Very blessed. Top-notch, challenging, and I’m excited to take it to practice.” – Dr. William, participant at the 7th edition of the ZAGA Live Training.
Upon completion of the training program, the participant had developed a more methodical and confident approach to zygomatic implant rehabilitation. This was achieved through the application of newly acquired skills and the provision of exceptional care to each patient. The integration of live surgical procedures, guidance from experienced experts, and targeted clinical discussions fostered an educational environment that transcends conventional implant training programs.
