The ZAGA Cadaver Course: Zygomatic & Pterygoid Implants is a four-day intensive training on advanced zygomatic and pterygoid implant techniques, led by Dr. Carlos Aparicio and Dr. Adi Lorean. Designed for clinicians of all experience levels, this course is suitable for general dentists, prosthodontists, and experienced dental surgeons alike.
ZAGA Cadaver Course on zygomatic and pterygoid technique features comprehensive lectures, engaging discussions, and hands-on training using dental 3D models based on real patients, as well as cadaver donor heads. You’ll gain actionable insights and practical skills ready to apply in your clinical practice immediately after completion.
All participants will receive a certificate of completion with up to 36 CE credits.

ZAGA Zygomatic & Pterygoid Implants Course – Overview & Objectives
- Indications for zygomatic implants: defect types, smile line, biomechanics, residual bone, edentulism, maxillary atrophy, failing dentition, implant/graft failures, and maxillectomy.
- Compare surgical approaches: original, slot, and extrasinus techniques, with their advantages and limitations.
- Apply the ZAGA Concept: classification, anatomy-driven planning, and risk management for predictable outcomes.
- Master ZAGA osteotomies for patient-specific therapy: tunnel and channel techniques, focusing on sinus preservation and bone conservation.
- Integrate prosthetic and anatomical criteria: ABC of ZAGA for optimal implant positioning, stability, and soft-tissue health.
- Prosthetic rehabilitation: immediate loading and restoration strategies for zygomatic and pterygoid implants.
- Pterygoid implants: review indications, protocols, and complication management in combined and separate rehabilitation cases.
- Hands-on training: practice zygomatic and pterygoid implants techniques on patient-based 3D models and cadaver specimens.
- Continuous support & networking: connect with peers and ZAGA faculty, building lasting professional relationships through the ZAGA Circle, the private community for ZAGA alumni and for zygomatic and full-mouth rehabilitation enthusiasts.
