“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” – Carl Jung

Prof. Tomas Albrektsson started working with osseointegrated implants together with Professor PI Brånemark in 1967. He has since published numerous papers on osseointegration. Currently, Prof Albrektsson is working as professor emeritus of the Department of Biomaterials in Gothenburg and as a visiting professor at the Department of Prosthodontics, Malmö University Sweden.

As one of the key members of the ZAGA Center Council, Prof. Albrektsson plays an essential role in safeguarding the prestige and excellence of ZAGA Centers. He is instrumental in ensuring each ZAGA Center maintains the highest standards of care and expertise. This process involves a rigorous evaluation, including presenting five clinical cases by prospective centers. These cases testify to their capability and proficiency in the specialized field of zygomatic implants. This careful selection and oversight by Prof. Albrektsson and the Council not only preserves the integrity and reputation of the ZAGA Centers but also affirms our commitment to providing the best possible care and outcomes for our patients.
