Dr. Sellick initially pursued laboratory medicine, gaining in-depth knowledge of human pathophysiology, microbiology, and biochemistry. His dedication to clinical excellence led him to dentistry, where he graduated with honours before specializing in prosthodontics. His doctoral research focused on using micro-CT technology to compare genuine and non-genuine implant components.

Professional Leadership and Contributions

A sought-after lecturer both in Australia and internationally, Benjamin is actively involved in professional leadership. He is a Fellow of the ITI, the immediate past-President of the Australian Prosthodontic Society (SA Branch), and currently serves as Education Delegate for the ITI Australasia Leadership Team. Beyond his clinical work, he collaborates with leading dental companies as a Key Opinion Leader and product evaluator.

Dr. Sellick operates two referral-based specialist prosthodontic practices in Adelaide and Hobart, where he mentors both undergraduate and postgraduate students in clinical prosthodontics. His expertise in digital workflows allows for precise, patient-specific solutions, maximizing both function and aesthetics.
