Documented case of Ana, a patient with severe bone loss and failed implants, treated by Dr. Jay Neugarten during the ZAGA Course.

Participants work on anatomical 3D models replicating Ana’s jaw, where they plan and place zygomatic implants applying the ZAGA Approach. They then follow the same case during a live surgical demonstration, seeing how the treatment is carried out and restored with an immediate prosthesis.

The treatment involved quad zygomatic implants and one pterygoid implant to improve stability. Using the ZAGA Approach, the case was successfully rehabilitated despite previous implant failures, with an immediate prosthesis delivered on the same day as surgery.

This case reflects the type of clinical training and hands-on experience participants gain during the course.

Who should attend

This course is built for clinicians who already place implants and want to treat the atrophic maxilla with zygomatic and pterygoid implants. Most participants are oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, and prosthodontists, though experienced implantologists moving into remote anchorage work fit well, too. You do not need prior zygomatic experience. You do need a working surgical background because the hands-on sessions and the live surgery run at the pace of a practicing clinician.

What you will be able to do afterwards

By the end of the four days, you will have planned and placed zygomatic implants on a 3D model of a real case, watched that same case treated in live surgery, and seen it restored with an immediate prosthesis. You leave able to read a severely resorbed maxilla, choose between the ZAGA anatomy-guided options, and judge when to add pterygoid or quad zygomatic support. The goal is to match the implant to the patient’s bone, not to memorize a single protocol.

Days 1 to 3 run at the New York Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. Day 4 moves to Fusion Solutions in Hicksville for the cadaver session, with transfers to and from Madison Avenue included. The fee covers lectures, the 3D model and cadaver work, live surgery observation, lunches, and course materials, plus three months of access to the ZAGA Online Course after the course.
